Prof.Dr. İbrahim YOKAŞ Prof. Dr. İbrahim Yokaş was born in Fethiye, Muğla in 1953. He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture, Ege University in 1977. He worked as an assistant researcher in the area of Nuclear Agriculture at Nuclear Sciences Research and Education Institute, Ege University. At the same university, he started working as a research assistant in the Department of Soil Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, where he received his PhD degree in 1985. He became the director of Agriculture Department in Coca-Cola Company in 1988 and he was awarded associate professorship in the same year by the Higher Council of Universities. He worked as the general director of Güneysu Company in 1994, and as the founding director of Kınık Canned Food between 1995 and 1996. He participated in Organic Farming Fairs organized by IFOAM in 1997 and 1998. He went to France in 1998 to do some studies on organic farming greenhouses, following which he signed agreements with a French company about organic food production in Turkey. He worked for BIOMA Biological Fertilizers between 1997 and 1998 and established an organic farming greenhouse in Köyceğiz as the founding partner in BIOTAR. Dr. Yokaş was appointed to the post of associate professor at Ortaca Vocational School, Muğla University in 1988. He served as the head of department and vice-director until he was awarded professorship in 1999 and appointed as the director of Ortaca Vocational School. He has been the vice-rector of Muğla University since December, 2002. Prof. Dr. Yokaş is fluent in English and German and is married with one child. |

Prof.Dr. Atila YÜCEL Prof. Dr. Atila Yücel was born in Edirne in 1949. He completed his primary education in Edirne and Ankara, his secondary education in London and Ankara, and high school education at Ankara College of Turkish Education Society. He began his university education at Physics Department of Ankara University in 1967. Following his graduation in 1971, he started to work as a research assistant at the same department. Prof. Yücel earned his masters degree in Physics from the Ankara University in 1973 by completing his thesis on Determination of the structure of CdS crystals at X-ray Crystallography Laboratory. After that, he started his doctoral degree and he visited CNRS CRSOCI and 'Laboratory of Crystallography' at Orleans University in France twice with earned scholarship. He earned his Ph.D. degree with the dissertation on Investigation of the structure and defects of the Eskişehir sepiolite using the electron microscope and X-ray techniques in 1978.After completing his PhD, he again conducted research in determining the physical characteristics of clay minerals and its various applications. On this subject, he worked as a researcher and a director at two different projects, one of the projects was conducted under TÜBİTAK supervision and the other was a NATO project conducted with collaboration of University of Orleans. During this period, he also conducted research in the effects of thermal vibrations of atoms on X-ray diffraction patterns. At the same time, he used this experience on electron diffraction for studies related to medical applications. After resigning from his position at the university in 1982, Prof. Dr. Atila Yücel first started to work as a research engineer at Türkiye Şişe Cam Fabrikaları A.Ş. After that, he moved to work at research and development department of ASELSAN A.Ş. As the manager of Thick Film Department in the Research and Development group of ASELSAN, he worked on design and production technology related to thick and thin film hybrid microelectronic circuits. Along with these activities, he had the technical responsibility for ASELSAN's first Electrooptics project, the Laser Range Finder. During his employment at ASELSAN, he gained his associate professor degree in the field of Solid State Physics in 1986. After the establishment of ROKETSAN A.Ş. in 1988, he left his position at ASELSAN and joined ROKETSAN A.Ş. He continued to work at ROKETSAN until 2004 as a vice general manager of Programs and Engineering. During this position, his responsibilities included all investments and procurement decisions as well as management and technical responsibility of all projects. Prof. Dr. Atila Yücel took an active role on the establishment of Engineering and Development group at ROKETSAN and he was the director of this group until 2004. Prof. Dr. Atila Yücel started to work at Physics Engineering Department of the Ankara University Engineering Faculty at 2004-2005 academic year and gave lecture on Introduction to System Engineering and System Design Applications. During this time, he also conducted scientific studies on the magnetocaloric effect and magnetic cooling with Magnetic Material Research Group at Physics Engineering Department. Prof. Dr. Atila Yücel was appointed as a professor at Physics Department, Arts and Sciences Faculty, Mugla University in October, 2005. He is fluent in English and French, and married with two children. |
