    Muğla University Central Library, with a physical capacity of 7,000 square meters, is located in the Main Campus to support research and education activities by providing information and documentation facilities for various needs of students and staff as well as researchers from outside Muğla University. A wide collection of books, periodicals, electronic information resources, and other printed material is available in the library, where you can study in peace alongside the forest view and get assistance from a trained and dedicated library staff at any time. Students may choose the environment to study among from closed individual study areas, open study areas or reading halls.

The Central Library holds around 70,000 volumes on various subjects, either as essential resources for studies in all disciplines or as extra curricular resources. The book collection is catalogued according to the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules and arranged according to the Library of Congress Classification Schedules, using open-shelf system by the classification number from left to right. Reference books are shelved in a different unit according to their classification numbers. Materials held by the library are accessible via the online 'Muğla University Library Catalogue'. The periodical collection of the Central Library contains about 600 printed journals. Periodicals section is organised in two different units where latest volumes and older volumes are arranged alphabetically according to their subjects. Electronic versions of some of the subscribed journals can be accessed on the 'e-journals' web page. In order to provide better facilities for researchers, the Library also offers access to several ONLINE databases containing almost 70,000 academic journals. In addition, within the inter-libraries cooperation, the books or photocopies of publications can be obtained from other libraries. The Central Library is accessible six days a week, including the holidays, during the announced working hours. Information tours on how to use the Library are offered at the beginning of each academic year, especially for the newcomers.
