Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University ranked among the world's top 22% of universities in the 2025 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable campus development.
 
Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU) has once again demonstrated its commitment to sustainability by achieving 7,320 points in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025, one of the world's leading assessments of sustainable universities.
Among 1,745 participating universities worldwide, MSKÜ ranked 386th, placing it within the top 22% globally. Nationally, the university ranked 41st out of 142 institutions, positioning it among the top 29% in Türkiye.
The university maintained its strong standing despite increased international competition and more demanding evaluation criteria. MSKU also improved its performance in the waste management and water management categories, reflecting the impact of ongoing initiatives to promote recycling, reduce waste, conserve water, and improve resource efficiency across campus.
The results highlight MSKU's sustained investment in environmental sustainability, supported by coordinated institutional efforts and initiatives in green campus management, sustainability-focused education and research, ecological agriculture, and environmental awareness.
