Muğla Technopark's Board of Directors has approved a TRY 500,000 fund to support teams from Muğla participating in TEKNOFEST, aiming to encourage greater youth engagement in technology development.

The Board of Directors of Muğla Technopark has announced a new initiative to strengthen youth participation in technology development and increase the number of teams representing Muğla at TEKNOFEST, Türkiye’s leading aerospace and technology festival.

Under the decision, a total budget of TRY 500,000 has been allocated for 2026 to help cover the material costs associated with project and prototype development for teams from Muğla competing in TEKNOFEST.

The support program targets high school students, university teams, and entrepreneurial groups, enabling them to transform innovative ideas into working prototypes, accelerate product development, and compete more effectively at the national level.

Prof. Dr. Turhan Kaçar, Chairman of the Board of Muğla Technopark and Rector of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU), emphasized the broader significance of the initiative:

"TEKNOFEST is far more than a competition. It is a platform where young people gain hands-on experience in technology development, learn the value of teamwork, and create projects that have the potential to shape our country's future. As Muğla Technopark, we see it as our responsibility to remove barriers that limit young people's opportunities and to support their ambitions. A high school or university team we assist today could become tomorrow's technology company based in Muğla. In the coming years, Muğla Technopark will continue to promote entrepreneurship, research and development, and technology-driven initiatives to strengthen the province's innovation capacity."

Through this program, Muğla Technopark aims to increase the number of teams representing the province at TEKNOFEST, contribute to their success in national competitions, and help transform promising projects into the technology ventures of the future.
