The second place win at the Bodrum Cup Race

The students of Bodrum Maritime Vocational School affiliated to Mugla Sıtkı Kocman University was awarded a trophy for finishing in second place at the Bodrum Cup which is one of the most prominent international maritime festivals and sailing races organized in Turkey.
Mugla Sıtkı Kocman University (MSKU) participated in the 33rd Bodrum Cup International Wooden Sailboat Race with STS-Bodrum Training Ship this year.
At this huge event in which more than 60 sailboats raced our university won a trophy again this year just like every year.
The strong sailing team consisting of the students of our university raised the second place trophy in the Gullet A Category at the Bodrum Cup. The same team also came in fifth place in the Gullet General Category. Having demonstrated a successful performance throughout the event, the team became the center of attention.
The Bodrum Cup Team under the leadership of Instructor Mehmet Özgür Yenilmez consists of the following students: Aslı Göktan, Ali Ağar, Burak Kekevi, Furkan Çakır, Şakir Osman Mercan, Yunus Emre Sağlam, Furkan Kapancı, Sefa Karaağaç, Alper Demir, Kerim Çamyar, Berk Mıdıroğlu, Alperen Karatepe, Emir Güleç, Kadirhan Ahmet Ayaz, Erdem Vatan and Nazlıcan Çalım. Since Aslı Göktan, a student of our university, earned a seat at the Referee Committee of the Bodrum Cup our university has become more visible at this highly prestigious international organization.
